This blog was created in an effort to tell more people about Zipporah Porath's book Letters From Jerusalem 1947~1948.

Even 61 years after the letters were written, the book continues to speak to the hearts of readers worldwide. We should never forget how great the miracle was of Israel's birth.

In this blog you also find a link to MACHAL, the thousands of volunteers from abroad who helped the fledgling state win the War of Independence.

In the near future we will add more information, links and interesting stories, for when Zipporah begins to speak about her experiences, it's hard to stop her...!
